Role Summary
Developers arguably have the most important role in a project - bringing it to life! As a member of the development team, you can expect varied days with a mix of both project work and smaller tasks for our retained pool of clients.

We're looking for a Shopify Developer who is passionate about the platform, technology and creating excellent digital experiences.

In this role, you'll collaborate closely with designers, other developers, and project managers to ensure that all projects are delivered on time and meet our high quality standards.

You'll be supported with autonomy and freedom to shape the projects you work, in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and deliver new Shopify themes for clients, from provided design concepts to deployment, ensuring quality standards.

• Support the wider team on best practice for implementation of certain features, considering the project specifics, complexity and budget.

• Triaging client change requests and suggesting the best method to tackle these requests.

• Advise on theme functionality, or Shopify Apps, required to meet client requirements.

• Assist with code reviews and our quality management system.

• Work closely with the project management and data teams, making suggestions and providing support where tasks overlap.

• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs or client reported errors.

Requirements & Skills

• You have experience working in a digital agency.

• You have a strong understanding of front-end development, with experience in HTML, CSS and Javascript.

• You have a meticulous eye for detail and ensure that you build functional concepts that mirror provided designs.

• You're eager to bring fresh, creative ideas to the table and isn’t afraid to voice your opinion and collaborate to improve the overall project outcome.

• You're passionate about both development and design, always striving to create sites that are both user-friendly and effective.

• You enjoy a collaborative team environment but are also self-motivated and capable of managing time effectively to meet project deadlines.

Bonus Points:

• Experience working client-side in a digital agency.

• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.

• Experience with Shopify theme development.

• Fluency in Liquid.

• Knowledge of GraphQL.
